small details from san miguel de allende

04.30.08
still editing from mexico… here is the second out of three posts. we purchased the canon 24 mm tilt shift lens right before we left so most of our exploring was experimenting with tilting and shifting. A big thanks to anne almasy and cristin chester for teasing me about not get my mexico post done… you need a little motivation from your friends!
a very intriguing aspect of san miguel are the doors. they are old, textured, huge and magical.
this is the main square
wild horses
this dog is looking out of a window from his house onto the street. orange textured wall, spotted dog and one blue eye- i love it.

Yeah! There is a great article about Aly and Elroi’s Wedding on Wedding Bee. What a memorable wedding- everything was “out of the box” and perfect!

Greta’s present to Gracyn

04.27.08
“Auntie” Greta came to visit us a few weeks ago. She always comes bearing gifts. The first time she came down from NYC she brought a miniature “i *heart* NY” mug. We found out quickly that they are not baby proof. I think it took 2 minutes till it ground and broke. So the last time she came down she brought another one….
* it didn’t break… so i decided to put it away for now and wait till he drinks coffee.

Harshad, Shashi Aran & Sayan

04.24.08
What a fun family shoot! We first met at their house to begin the shoot. Shashi and Harshad have the coolest taste in kids toys i’ve ever seen. Their dining room was converted into what seems to be a wooden toy museum. And since Aran and Sayan are twins they pretty much have two of everything. After having total toy envy, i asked Shashi to send me links to where she finds these one of a kind (well, two of a kind) treasures : )
aran and sayan….
i love harshad’s and shashi’s faces while they were being outlined with chalk.
They have a porch room dedicated to all the messy stuff- paint, chalk, markers…Harshad isn’t a fan of the messy room.
