extra, extra!! our image is on the front page of cnn for one of the gay marriages that we shot last year. i hope you're excited about the recent media frenzy surrounding prop 8 (we are), and check out some of our other favorite same-sex couples that we had the pleasure of working with.... beck + margaux, aly + elroi, and of course kirsten + maria.
matt, once again, showed his awesomeness and it's nothing short of picture perfect....
we can't say enough about this sweet, heart-warming, and incredibly fun new york bat mitzvah. olivia and her family sure know how to throw a party, especially when working with such an awesome event space like skylight west. the smilebooth was packed the whole night and filled with some pretty crazy photos. thanks so much olivia for sharing your special day with us! we had a blast...
check out all the photos on the slideshow below...
you know when you show up to a wedding as a vendor but a part of you feels like you are headed to a good friends wedding? well thats how we felt with kathleen and jon. they had us over for a home-cooked meal and since then it was sealed. good food and good company does that. i also felt like i knew kathleen because she keeps a wedding blog that i loved checking out as she was planning the big day.
the wedding was a perfect balance of meaningful, whimsical, modern, and kick a** fun. i don't always put dance floor shots on the blog but with all of these amazing expressions in the photographs it seemed like they were playing journey all night long.
adam and jordan and the story of the girl with the coolest name in the world.
06.29.10
So Jordan Kaltwasser meets Adam Jordan. the big question since then always stood- "when and if you get married are you going to change your last name?" well of course she did! as the invite stated on the front, "if you really need to know just look at the back of the program..." Jordan Jordan it is. It seems to work well since she is a designer. even beyond this great name change this couple is great. they hosted their wedding outside of Memphis, TN in a spectacular location. little did they know it would be during a tornado. little did we know either. golf carts with plastic covers, sideways rain, tornado sirens, heavy wind. this was a first. and you know they still were laughing and totally into taking photos. i think the positive attitude really paid back when right after the ceremony the sky opened and the most beautiful sunset appeared. serenity.
