we're in mexico for a el día de los muertos adventure in oaxaca and then a wedding in san miguel de allende (yayyyy!) and then s'more adventures in mexico city. we'll be back mid-november with tons of pretty wedding posts. adios! xo

this new york pair's irish indian wedding took place in the beautiful countryside of stockton, nj at the woolverton inn right next to the pennsylvania border. we'd never been in that area before and, as we drove winding around past farms, we were smitten by the breathtaking landscape. then, we met anjeli and shawn: this uber sweet couple made us feel like rockstars right when we met them and we were so spoiled by the beautiful backdrop, their graciousness and their super nice family and friends. anjeli had planned everything and there were so many beautiful and vibrant details for us to photograph. she loves bright, bold colors-- as do we-- and she incorporated them into everything from the unique bridesmaid dresses to the cupcakes. we got to photograph the couple before the ceremony, which we always prefer, because it gave us plenty of time to get tons of beautiful portraits as we wandered outside of barns and cornfields and into the woods, and it allowed them to relax after the wedding with their friends and family who had come from all over the world. shawn's vows included a promise to watch reality tv with anjeli and hers promised to watch soccer with shawn. oh my, the dancing was fantastic--especially when the indian music played: scarves and napkins were twirled and both of us couldn't resist shaking our hips with the crowd. thank you so much anjeli and shawn! you two make such a beautiful, complementary pair. also, a huge thanks to our dear friend andrew bicknell, who is based out of nyc, for helping us the whole day. a big high five to our buddy louis sparre of electric tweed. louis is our favorite wedding videographer who we were thrilled to work a wedding with again and who shot amazing super 8mm movie from anjeli and shawn's perfect wedding day.

Jamie and Bryan's wedding was so very swoon-worthy. Jamie walked down the grass aisle to Bryan serenaded by Paul Simon's "Heart and Bones" being played live by The Corduroy Road, a bluegrass band (swoon). The Miami couple was married in the mountains outside of Asheville, NC--where they'd gotten engaged-- at Claxton Farm (swoon). The family-style dinner was served on beautifully-decorated tables under an old tobacco barn with the sun peeking through the cracks of the wood (swoon). The speeches were tear-filled and plentiful (swoon) and they even had us laughing as Jamie's good friend described growing up with Jamie and her family. Then, the dancing was done under a full moon and this pair's family and friends really knew how to boogie -- young and old (swoon). A small campfire with s'mores and a school bus to take the partiers home?
